Explaining and clearifiying
the manipulation of some verses.
“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.” (Deuteronomy 18:18-19).
They claim that the above verse refers to Mohammad because he had these aspects in common with Moses:
1.Both were given a comprehensive law and code of life.(Jesus had that)
2.Both encountered their enemies and were victorious in miraculous ways.(That also happened with Jesus)
3.Both were accepted as prophets and statesmen.(Jesus was also accepted as that and more)
4.Both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them.(Jesus also escaped to Egypt from Hirodus)
5.The natural birth, the family life, and death of Moses and Mohammad.(this applies to ALL humans)
We could also see that all of these characters are found in serveral prophets that came after Moses. So this cannot be linked to Mohammad because of those reasons, because they are in many prophets after Moses, and Jesus is one of them.
Now we see the common characteristics between Moses and Jesus:
1.When Moses was born The Pharaoe tried to kill him. When Jesus was born Hirodus tried to kill him. Not all people are threatened by death when they are born(especially not Mohammad).
2.When Moses was a baby the daughter of the Pharaoe gave him protection. When Jesus was a baby his mother's fiances Joseph gave him protection. Not all people, when babies, are protected by people chosen by God when they are threatened.(this doesn't apply to Mohammad too)
3.Moses lived his childhood in Egypt away from his home. The same thing happened with Jesus, he also lived his early life in Egypt away from his home. Not all people escape to Egypt in their early years.(this also doesn't apply to Mohammed also)
4.When Moses served God he gave him the power to make miracles, like Jesus who was also given the power to make miracles, so he healed the sick and gave life to the dead.(this also can't be found in Mohammad)
5.Moses gave freedom to the Israelites from the slavery of the Egyptians. Jesus gave freedom to those who believe in him from death and sin.(this also doesn't apply to Mohammad)
So in Conclusion, we see that all the reasons that make us think that the prophecy above refers to Mohammad, are also found in Jesus. Except the 5th reason(the natural life and death) which could be found not only in Moses and Mohammad, but in all humans!
And the reasons that make us believe that this prophecy refers to Jesus are strong and evident and none of them applies to Mohammad.

Now we move to what that site considers as a proof that Mohammad was a prophet expected by the Jews.
“Now this was John’s testimony, when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.” (John 1:19-21).
Matthew 16:13 "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets."
It is very clear, by the above verse, that when the Jews asked John who he was, that they were expecting Elijah(Elias) and someone they refered to as "the prophet".
This person that they refered to as "the prophet" seems to be Jeremias who they were expecting, and that is made clear in the above verse(Matthew 16:14). And it is also shown by the same verse that they thought that Jesus is one of the old prophets that died and came back to life.
So it is very evident, that they were not expecting Mohammad as he was never mentioned in the prophecies.

"2) From the brothers of the Israelites:
Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac (Genesis 21). Ishmael became the grandfather of the Arab nation, and Isaac became the grandfather of the Jewish nation. The prophet spoken of was not to come from among the Jews themselves, but from among their brothers, i.e. the Ishmaelites. Muhammad , a descendant of Ishmael, is indeed this prophet."
"
That claim is the most naive claim i have ever seen. It shows how much the author knows about the Bible.
1.The word brother in hebrew has several meanings(like in arabic)
This is another translation for the verse: Deuteronomy 18:15 -- "The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him. - (NAS)
The word brother wasn't used here but "countrymen" was.
So it is clear that it does NOT mean brother as it was explained by that site.
2.All the Bible talks about the awaited one from the line of Kind David(who is from the line of Isaac), and you bring one verse and explain it your way and say that the one awaited is from the line of Ismael???? that shows you have no knowledge about the Bible.

"Also, Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the servant of God, His “chosen one” and “messenger” who will bring down a law. “He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.” (Isaiah 42:4). Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Kedar. Who is Kedar? According to Genesis 25:13, Kedar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad"
Another manipulation of verses.
Here's the context:
Isaiah
42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 42:11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
1. It does not say that that the awaited one is a descendant of Kedar. It just says "- Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voices, The settlements where Kedar inhabits."
It invited the cities where Kedar lived to sing and to lift up their voices.
2.Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. "
This happened when Jesus was baptized by John, and Isaiah said in his prophecy: "in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him" the resemblance is clear and evident. The one talked about by Isaiah is Jesus.

What really surprises me is the POOR knowledge in the Bible that the author of that page has, as he should know that taking words out of their context and using them for other purposes is NOT the way of a person who is sure of his religion.
" Another related point, is that the Quran was revealed in sections over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28 which speaks of the same thing, “For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there.” (Isaiah 28:10)."
Here is the context of that verse:
Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim 28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean. 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 28:11
So Isaiah is not talking about a specific prophet here, he was saying that the drunkards have erred must be teached "precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little"
This proves that all the claims made in that page are FALSE,
MANIPULATED and TWISTED.
